This seven-floor building complex is located on Amarousiou Halandriou Str. near the area of Paradisos in Maroussi and was meant to house the headquarters of J&P Avax S.A.. The final form of this scheme is the result of a synthesis of three initial volumes:
a) A three-storey rectangular main volume with pilotis, which accommodates the main offices of the company, constructed by bare concrete and located at the rear edge of the plot.
b) A triangular volume of steel structure plated with limestone panels and cylindrical columns, that accommodates more executive offices.
c) A four-storey cylinder with a radius of 8m plated with zinc that includes the auditorium, conference rooms and a vertical circulation core.
The total up-built area is 6.200m²
The pilotis remains an open space with the exception of the points of entry to the building and the auditorium.
A shallow artificial lake surrounds the seemingly half submerged amphitheatre, whereas the reflections of natural light on the water’s surface flow into the underground foyer of the amphitheatre, through cylindrical lightwells located at the lake’s bottom.
