The “Glaxo” office building comprises of one L shaped multistorey volume and a an inclined prismatic volume that houses the amphitheater.
The multistorey office volume is shaped into a triangle at the top level of building giving it its characteristic triangular imprint. At the same time, by being set perpendicularly to Kifissias Avenue, its two very different and distinctive elevations are highlighted and are visible to both directions of the road.
Reception with associated offices, cafeteria and auditorium are arranged on the ground floor, and the remaining four floors are sub-divided to provide a full range of headquarters offices.
The basement occupies approximately 1.950 sq.m and the other floors a total of 3.250 sq.m.
Above ground the main portion of the building is triangular in plan, with the auditorium forming a visually separate but linked unit, surrounded by a reflecting pool. Additional open-air parking is provided at the rear of the building, with a vehicle access roadway at the front and extensive landscaping around the circumference of the site.
External surfaces of all the solid walls on the main elevations are clad with polished granite slabs, while the principal window areas are glazed in a continuous curtain wall with double-glazed, tinted, reflecting glass.
