This Office Building is situated in the very center of Athens, extending its façades along Epirou and Aristotelous St.
It consists of a seven storey high Office and Seminar building, spreading in two individual vertical sections with separate entrances towards Epirou and Aristotelous st. respectively, as well as an underground four storey parking area.
The main volume of the building is recessed from the building line, in order for the architectural forms of the three buildings to stand out.
The expression of the bearing structure is the main element of the Epirou façade. Horizontal surfaces of concrete and glass give the facades and the volumes of the building a distinctive character.
The façade on Aristotelous St. is designed in order to integrate with the “neoclassical building” on the front. This way on a first layer, only the neoclassical façade is unfolded on the building line.
On a second and third layer, and recessed from the building line, a glass façade was constructed, to function as a neutral vertical element that highlights the façade of the “neoclassical building”.
The main target of the design was to create a complex in which the modern notion of architecture could be integrated harmoniously with the historical character of the existing building and its environment.
