The building was erected on a small-size linear plot of land with a very limited frontage along its major side on Kifissias Avenue.

The building programme formulated by the Bank management was implemented as follows:

The second basement became a parking area with small storage spaces. The first basement, the ground floor and the loft were organised according to the requirements of the branch office, while the first and second stories above ground were designed with unified office spaces, to cover administrative services for the Bank.

The building prism defined by the mandatory building lines delineates the general shape and proportions of the building.

The exterior supports with a V-shaped cross-section interrupt the level longitudinal side elevations, creating strong vertical incisions.

The design of the elevations was based on contrast between the large glass surfaces and the individual prisms of visible concrete.

Internally, the diagonal projection of the loft-type mezzanine with one twin beam placed at a 45ο degree angle mediates the impression of limited width, breaking up the narrowness of the space and ensuring visual escapes.
