The new General Hospital has a capacity of 500 beds, and it houses specialized diagnostic and treatment departments to meet the needs of the whole of Cyprus.

Apart from the hospital’s main building, more than one independent buidings are situated in the plot, which has a total area of 120,000sq.m, that house related services to the hospital.

• laundry area that serves the hospital as well as other public institutions.
• forensic department and morgue
• nursing school
• educational center (future)
Nursing wards are organized in groups of two wings that are served by an equal number of vertical circulation cores. They are situated in the quiet zone of the complex and orientated to South-East, overlooking the gardens.
Diagnostic and treatment departments, Accident Emergency and Outpatient facilities are located to the North-West with direct access to parking areas and the main roads.
All catering and supply departments, as well as electromechanical installations are located to the North- East part of the basement area and are served through a covered service yard.
