This hospital serves the industrial area west of Greater Athens. Designed to be constructed in three phases, the first providing 256 beds, the second phase providing another 128 beds, and the final phase providing 96 more beds, amounting to a total capacity of 480 beds.
The building is planned over seven floors; the lower three floors provide diagnostic and therapeutic departments as well as support functions. Nursing wards, along with their auxiliary areas are located on the three upper floors
Electromechanical installations are housed in the mezzanine.
On each floor one can find 64 beds in a layout that permits the implementation of progressive treatment. Apart from the nursing wards, the rest of the hospital follows a parallel layout in two three storey hospital routes, the edges of which end up at the vertical core of the nursing ward.
There is an spatial flexibility to the departments and they have the ability either to be expanded or get additional departments.
The main material for the facades is glasal, chosen for its increased durability against the pollution of Thriasio Field, and its ability to bear the required insulation structure.
