IASO THESSALIAS is a General Clinic with Obstetric, Gynecological and Pediatric departments and has a capacity of 213 beds. It is situated 7km far from the town centre of Larissa, North-East of the old National Road connecting Athens and Thessaloniki.
The complex consists of three linked buildings: Building A that houses the Diagnostics and Treatment departments, Building B which is the longitudinal volume of the Hospital Unit and Building C which is the triangular volume of the Main Entrance.
Departments are organized so that each functions as an individual unit as well as collectively within a whole.
External insulating coating is white, contrasting with the silver-hued aluminum panels and blinds, to give a particular visual identity to the complex. Smaller volumes are emphasized by intense color variations and, at night, specially-designed lighting creates an alternative (and different) character.
The three chimneys of the electric generator and overall engine area, that surround their own structural support element, have been designed with special care and are a very important aesthetical element in synthesis of the hospital.
